Are you suffering because people have hurt you?

Do people not seem to care about the things you do?

Are you angry about something or cant let something go?

Do you often find yourself suffering because of your thoughts? are you often criticising yourself or someone else and believing no one cares or wondering why people hurt you? Byron Katie has developed a wonderful, simple set of 4 questions called “The Work” where you can question the reality of your thoughts and stop suffering almost instantly. She has several free pod casts and tools on her website but also has some great books and Audio books available, which will help you understand her method and practice it yourself.

Do you have low energy and feel low?

So, if you haven’t already heard of Wim Hoff, take a look at his free app, website, books, audio-books or podcasts. He believes that creating your own happiness and good health is as simple as taking a cold shower a day and/or doing his breathing methods. I have trialled and tested his method and I am happy to say it has worked for me, I’ve got bucket loads more energy through cold showers. I am also better able to calm my nervous system, increase happiness and dopamine, just by doing his breathing techniques. Please do not try his methods if you have a heart condition!

Are you struggling within relationships?

It has been a long while since I read this book, but I remember it was one of the first I read about attachment, long before my counselling training. I found it truly insightful and informative. I learned how to identify and understand my own attachment style and be more aware of others and their attachment styles. This made me less reactive within relationships and more compassionate to myself and others. Give it a go if you’re struggling in a relationship and wondering why.
