Relationship Counselling

Counselling for two people, “couples counselling”, or if you’re looking for sessions with someone else, like your teenager, then I charge £65 per session.

How do I work with Couples:

I work with couples and relationships of all kinds who want more than just “getting by” — they want to truly connect. My approach is centred on helping partners learn how to communicate openly, understand one another more deeply, and express their feelings in a safe, supportive space.

In our work together, I create a calm and respectful environment where both voices matter. I support you in slowing down reactive patterns, listening with curiosity, and speaking with honesty. Rather than taking sides, I help you understand what is happening beneath the surface — the needs, fears, and longings that often go unspoken.

I am best suited to couples who are ready to grow: those who want to strengthen emotional intimacy, rebuild trust, navigate conflict more constructively, and develop practical tools for clearer communication. Whether you are feeling disconnected, stuck in repeating arguments, or simply wanting to deepen your bond, counselling offers a space to reconnect with intention.

My aim is to help you leave sessions not only feeling heard, but equipped — with insight, skills, and renewed understanding of each other.

Counselling with your Teenager:

I also work with parents and teenagers who want to rebuild trust, strengthen communication, and better understand one another during what can be a challenging and transformative stage of life.

Adolescence often brings big emotions, shifting identities, and misunderstandings on both sides. My role is to create a safe, balanced space where both parent and teenager feel heard, respected, and valued. I help families slow down reactive patterns, move beyond blame, and begin to listen with curiosity rather than defensiveness.

With four years’ experience working directly with young people in counselling settings, I bring a strong understanding of the emotional world of teenagers — their need for autonomy, their sensitivity to criticism, and their deep desire to feel understood. I support young people to express their thoughts and feelings in ways that feel manageable and authentic, while also helping parents communicate boundaries, care, and concerns clearly and calmly.

Using the same relational approach I bring to couples work, I focus on connection first. Together, we develop practical tools for navigating conflict, airing feelings safely, and strengthening mutual understanding. My aim is to help families move from tension and distance toward greater empathy, respect, and open communication — creating relationships that feel safer and more secure for everyone involved.
